Jumbo Rolled Oats are made from oat groats and quick-cooking rolled oats are made from pinhead oats. These come in various forms that are made by first steaming the whole groat for a few minutes and partially cooking it which passes it between rollers to flatten it out. Jumbo Rolled Oats tend to retain less of their texture and are mushier than steel-cut or rolled oats. These use a jumbo oat flake that is creamier and has more texture than other varieties.
